Monster Girls Page 7

I thought about how to explain the differences. But it was her point that mattered. Chances were that it wasn't hard for me to figure out driving controls just by watching. Even if they didn't have vehicles there might be telltale signs of how other things works, like the red light that kept us in this room. That was why I was watching for the sexy horned demon to return to get our bowl of food. I wanted to see how she got past the invisible barrier.

Maybe they pushed the bowl into our room with a stick, like a zookeeper. Since the glowing gemstone mounted in the ceiling caused pain it shouldn't affect inanimate objects. Like our beds, or the bowl. Sadly, the serving dish wasn’t large enough to shield my entire body.

I stood up abruptly, nearly scaring the shit out of my cell mate. When I grabbed the front of the bed, she leaped off it like she thought I was planning on flipping her.

"What are doing?" she asked, a little too loud for my liking. We didn’t want to draw attention to the thought that was just beginning to form in my head.

I shushed her before whispering, "I'm trying to see if I can move the bed."

"Why?" she asked quietly. One of the reasons that I was so valued by the crew of our ship was my ability to think outside of the box. Whether it was generations of a decline in deductive thinking, or that they spent all their lives in a limited environment, they struggled to come up with ideas of their own.

I jerked on the sleeping platform, unsure of what it was even made of. It didn't budge much. Was that because it was heavy or attached to the wall? To me it felt like a dense wood from Earth, like Hickory. Only moss covered on top. Where my fingers reached beneath the surface, I could feel an uneven grain like Oak. Putting more of my back into the motion I jerked on the bed again, excited to see it come away from the wall a few inches.

"Hey, hey, hey," I said, totally proud of myself. The look on Honeysuckle's face told me she still didn't understand what I had planned. I was bubbling over with enthusiasm to explain it to her until I saw the shadow behind her.

"Let me guess," Mavdaios's racy slithering voice said softly. "You are going to pull that over here in the entrance and try to crawl underneath it to escape the ponopagie."

Shit! Whether we made too much noise or just ill-timed my experiment, I didn't know. It was a mute-point now. Once discovered my ingenious plan, if it could have worked, would now be thwarted somehow. Unless the next guard was not made aware of my idea.

"Your body, Kash," she said as she raised her left hand toward the red crystal in the ceiling of the doorway.” It would not have fit under it. And it would be too heavy to lift off the ground without drawing attention. Your female, Honey might have made it, though."

Mavdaios stepped toward us, right into the doorway. She was completely unaffected by the pain inducer that she called ponopagie. While keeping her left hand between her head and the magic stone she reached down to retrieve the bowl of vittles with her right.

I was tempted to jump her. Maybe this was my opportunity. But I was too amazed and bewildered to act fast enough. With a squat that resembled an animated creature’s curtsy, she grabbed the bowl in a swift fluid motion and retreated to the other side of the opening. Once safely beyond the effect of the pain stone she brought her hand back to her side.

I hadn't paid close enough attention to this woman's body. Well, that wasn't exactly true. I had focused on the sexual parts is the problem. On one finger of her left hand was a red ring. It was even the same color as her eyes, lips, nipples and pussy. It was a wonder that I missed it before. That must have disabled the pain effect so she could pass though.

I now had a new plan. Get that ring!

"I told them that you are smarter than they gave you credit," Mavdaios said with human like inflection. It was weird the things that carried across time, and even intelligent species. This devil girl could give Teddy some lessons on how to get your point across. "Your flying rock was built, wasn't it?" she asked.

Initially I wasn't going to reply. It was just something ingrained in me. When jailed, don't tell the jailers shit. Then I realized one of my old plans, which happened to coincide with my new plan, was to befriend this scary looking woman.

"Yes," I told her after the pause. "That is our ship. We use it to travel to the stars."

"Really?" she asked with a crooked grin. I had trouble determining if she was intrigued or skeptical. Until she spoke again. "You expect me to believe that you can leave Edaifoss and visit the stars in the night sky? On a flying rock?"

"It's true," Honey answered. Mavdaios seemed to give more credit to the idea when Honey said it. Did she come across as more honest? Probably. After all, I was a convict before stepping through the time travel portal. Not the sweet talking, swindling kind either.

The alien woman moved strangely, almost sexually gyrating her body as she studied us. Her face then screwed up like she smelled something bad. Or good maybe. It was sort of like a demonic orgasm face. I couldn't tell if she was about to kill us, spit on us, or fuck us.

"Tell me more," she said with a deep husky voice. Was she getting aroused?

"We use our ship to..." Honey started.

"How?" our jailer interrupted. "How do you use it?"

"We go inside of it," I explained. I just realized that we hadn’t yet mentioned that important detail. No wonder she thought we were crazy if we had been suggesting that we could fly around on some type of asteroid without dying.

"Inside the rock?" she asked. When we both nodded, she encouraged us to continue. I figured that she was picturing tunnels dug into the stone. Chambers carved out inside like her people did here below the surface.

"Our engines power us off the ground," I told her.

"Engines?" Mavdaios asked. Then she pointed at the red crystal, the ponopagie. That was when everything clicked together for me.

This subterranean community of monster humans powered everything with these magical gemstones. The surge that came from the spear. The stunning effect of the round object that resembled a tambourine. The two stones on the bow that sent a bolt of energy. The ponopagie. The light of our cell. Anything that was powered in Mavdaios’ civilization was done by these special rocks that looked like huge gems. And they had learned how to control them.

Honey was confused, of course. But I figured it out in a flash. "Yes," I told her as I revised my plan. This ring on her finger might just negate the effects of all their power sources. With it I might be able to block an attack by their weapons. But a whole new thought came into play. Not only did I need to escape. I needed to steal some of these magical rocks on my way out. And the ring, too.

  CHAPTER ELEVEN

The pitch-black devil girl Mavdaios either lost interest in the conversation or realized that she was giving away too much information. Or possibly, she was just too hungry to focus on anything but our leftovers. I could only see one of her legs as she sat on the ground against the outside wall of our cell.

"What are they doing?" I heard a new voice say. I didn't hear anyone walk up, but that didn't mean anything. Our lone jailer had snuck up on me a couple times already.

"Talking," Mavdaios replied casually. "Plotting escape. Stuff like that."

"You mustn't let them get out of there," the new girl said urgently. The pitch of her voice was much higher, more innocent sounding. The words resonated a proper upbringing like a respectful lady in Old England. Or at least the way the movies portrayed them.

"Thanks," the more deviant responded sarcastically. "Why are you here?"

"I was sent to assess the situation," the new one answered. I peered out through the doorway to see a shadow fluctuating, sort of like a spinning fan would produce. "To retrieve your official report, if you are so inclined to give it. Otherwise, I must spend time observing them myself."

"What is it you want to know, Mixi?" Mavdaios asked. She sounded like she didn't want the other girl to be hanging around much longer. "If they are intelligent? They are. If they speak like us? They do."

  "
Really?" The shadow grew bigger until a face came into view. An angelic white face with blue accents, and a bald head. Behind it something blue was flapping around. When she spotted me looking at her, she hastily retreated. A moment later she asked her comrade, "Are they really opposite sexes?"

"I believe so," the leathery girl answered, starting to take the conversation more seriously. "I caught them cuddling a couple times already. Or it could be that they are just cold."

"I need a recommendation," Mixi announced. "If you will make one then I won't bother you any longer. Shall they be presented?"

Presented? What did she mean by that? As a gift? As food? Were we to be pets?

"Yes, Mixi," Mavdaios relented. "My official report is that they are too valuable for the mines. If not for reproductive purposes, they should at least be able to handle city work. Go. Tell them. Leave me alone."

As Mixi left she passed in front of the doorway, barely lingering for another look. There were several surprising features about the new girl. First, her feet were not touching the ground. Secondly, she had no arms. Not like our arms, at least. Hers were part of a set of wings. Big blue ones. That was what I saw fluttering around behind her and causing the spinning fan effect in the shadow. She was lithe and tiny, maybe less than seventy pounds in weight. And stunningly beautiful in a divine way. Like Vanilla. Only this girl was more like a faerie than a human woman. A pixie. I wondered if that contributed to her being named Mixi.

"Did you get a good look?" Mavdaios said as I stared after the tiny flying girl.

"I'm not sure," I answered. Then I realized that my jailer was starting up a new conversation with me. I needed to contribute if I was going to get any information out of her. "You two don't get along, I guess?"

"Get along?" the black skinned naughty looking girl responded. I could hear a hint of jealousy in her voice perhaps.

  "You are not friends?"

"No, not particularly. More like associates," she answered, not exactly happy to share that with me. She turned like she was going to walk away but paused.

  "Why not?" I asked.

"Mixi is a Divinifae," she replied. "They don't get along with Lucifen like me. They are fault finders, always acting like they are better than us, which they most certainly are not."

"I see. So, Divinifae and Lucifen. These are different species of intelligent life here on...what did you call this planet?"

"Edaifoss," she answered as she turned fully toward me. I had her attention now. If I could manage to get the ring at this juncture I would. If not, I'd use it as an opportunity to get closer to her. Make her comfortable in my presence, which she already was to a great degree. Much more so than Mixi. "No, we are the same species, simply different races. The same as you and the green girl, I assume."

"How many races live down here?" I asked.

"Many," was her cautious reply. "Though none are as attractive as my kind."

"I can believe that!" I replied, hoping that my flirting wouldn't come across too fake. "You do have a spanking hot body."

Mavdaios examined me with confusion before saying, "I understand hot, and spanking, but I am not clear on how they go together."

"Oh, sorry. It means that you are incredibly attractive, just as you claimed. Your body is shaped in an alluring way. Your movement draws the eye of potential suitors," I said, nearly laughing at myself for my clumsy effort.

Then she hissed at me as she wiggled. She was either flattered or about to attack. Either gave me an opportunity. "You are trying to arouse me, aren't you? Unfortunately, fat pink skinned monsters like you are not my type."

"Ha!" Honeysuckle laughed from somewhere behind me. It was a double punch in the stomach. First, to be called fat. Considering how thin the devil girl was I should have expected that. The second blow was to have my closest friend in this underground world laughing at my body.

"Your friend, though," Mavdaios said as she looked past me. "She is unusual, but appealing. Is she also into spanking?"

"No," Honey jolted at the query. "I'm not into women, either."

Devil girl showed mild offense, but she certainly didn't look like she would be shedding a tear over Honey's rejection. "It is a good thing for you then that you have a man. Of course, he might not be yours much longer."

"What does that mean?" I asked.

She hissed again and then walked away. I called after her, but she did not answer or return to the entrance.

"I hope they don't separate us," Honey said, looking panicked as I sat back down beside her. "Things are bad enough already."

I put my arm around her and rubbed her shoulder in comfort. She was right. Things would be much harder if we got separated. If that was a real possibility, we might need to take our first chance at escape, even if it wasn't a good one. From the sound of it, we were to be presented to someone soon, based on Mavdaios recommendation.

We needed to get ready. Mentally and physically. I only wished that I had some kind of weapon. My sword had been confiscated or left on the ground above. The pistol, too. I didn't have a single thing in my pockets and the room was bare except for the beds.

If I had to result to hand-to-hand combat, I would definitely need Mavdaios' ring. I was still guessing that it would provide immunity against all their magic stone-based weapons. Otherwise, I wouldn't get far. The most difficult trick would be protecting Honeysuckle while I fought my way out.

I wasn't one to hit a woman. At least not a human one. It was best to think of these monster girls as aliens instead. The problem was that I didn't know enough about them. Devil girl had horns and claws. The winged pixie would be tough to knock down unless I got her against a wall. From the sound of it there could be a bunch of creatures that I hadn't even seen yet. But I wasn't giving up hope.

"Do you really think that black girl is sexy?" Honey asked me, barely masking the jealous girlfriend vibe.

"No," I lied vehemently. "I was just trying to butter her up."

My white-haired friend stared at me like I was crazy. Butter? she mouthed the word.

"It means flattery with an agenda," I explained. "If we can get her to let her guard down, maybe we can steal her ring and find a way out of here."

  "I don't understand," Honeysuckle confessed.

I took a couple minutes to explain my plan with all the possible variants that I could think of. So far, it hinged heavily on Mavdaios. Because everything else after her was an unknown.

Honeysuckle then laid her head in my lap. It was only midday, I imagined. But there wasn't much to do to keep mentally active. I remembered back when I was in prison, I sometimes took five naps in a single day. It passed the time. It also helped break up the long string of negative thoughts that were ridiculously hard to avoid.

"If I fall asleep," Honeysuckle mumbled from my lap. "You're not going to molest me, are you?"

"I'm not sure," I answered playfully. When she swiveled to look up at me, I said, "Maybe I should frisk you before you go to sleep."

  CHAPTER TWELVE

I wasn't entirely joking. Honeysuckle was absolutely beautiful in her own right. That was clear even when she was among a crew full of hotties. Alone with me in a prison cell, her appeal grew exponentially.

I had gotten used to those strange eyes of hers, white irises rimmed in dark green. Lately I tended to see right through them, into her soul. Or at least her personality. She was teasingly playful without being sluttish. Sexy without being overly provocative. Lovely in a girl next door kind of way. If the girl next door was a cross between a human woman and a green skinned nymph.

I slid my hand down her thigh innocently. As innocent as anything I ever did, anyway. She reacted by lifting her narrow knee into the air. I took that as a sign to continue. Her legs were nearly as perfect as Cinnamon's. Slender and shapely, complete hairless and smooth. Her thin ankle with the custom white rings was the extent of her flesh. Boots still covered those narrow feet with dark green toenails. I was surprised she hadn't kicked them off already. P
robably, she was just being prepared to make a run for it at the first opportunity.

When I brought my hand back up the other leg, the one still lying flat, I definitely had intentions. Her thin uniform shorts ended only an inch or two from her crotch. I planned to get as close to that special place as she would allow. She responded by raising that leg as well, blocking my effort casually.

Honey smiled at me playfully. It told me that the game was not yet over. I just needed to execute a flanking attack. Actually, that didn't sound right. I didn't mean to go round to her rear end, though that was now a possibility with both knees in the air. No, I meant that I needed to go at her from a different angle, not physically though. Perhaps flanking was the wrong term entirely. A more subtle approach is what I needed.

I lifted her head towards mine and stared at her mouth. She got the idea quickly. After a deep breath of anticipation, she eagerly kissed me on the lips. It had some passion to it, but more like a well, hello there, kind of vibe. So, I followed it up with another kiss. And another.
